A must watch multicopter rap review!

A must watch multicopter rap review!

It’s not everyday you see a multicopter review done as a rap, so this video goes down as a must watch for that fact alone. RoboQuad – Our latest video has been well received

Thank you for all the kind comments we’ve had on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube for our latest video which was a pastiche of Robocop, with references we hope people will recognise from 2001 and League of Gentleman (the BBC TV series) amongst others. Confession time – we burned the gimbal out

Confession time – we burned the gimbal out

We were testing a robust gimbal with in particular the Letus AnamorphX adapter but as we feared might happen we burned the gimbal out in well under a week.  We want eventually to have an a multicopter based anamorphic rig so that footage from it can be matched to a conventional SLR camera used the SLR Magic Anamorphot adapter. We used the FY-G3 Feiyu-Tech (hand held version) along with a mix of miscellaneous rig components, an Edelkrone EVF holder and […]

APM & Pixhawk gets drift mode – aeroplane style control for multicopters

A recent firmware offering has brought a new flight mode, called drift mode which causes the flight controller to take over the yaw, the effect is aeroplane style flying with a single stick. The APM wiki suggests drift mode will be good for: FPV flyers who are looking for a dynamic, plane like flight as well as loiter-like position hold. New flyers who want to try a more intuitive and easy to learn flight mode. Anybody who would like to […]

DJI show H3-3D Zenmuse in action

Whilst we’ve not been bowled over by the initial details on the H3-3D, DJI’s first in-flight demo of the gimbal at least shows that it does look more solid and locked it than the H3-2D, whether that’s enough to update your H3-2D for, we’ll leave you to decide.
