Solo firmware 2.0 delivers multipoint cablecam and more besides

3DR released their new firmware for the Solo over a month before it was due, this delivered the promised functionality shown at CES and more besides, as well as the headline feature which was the multipoint cablecam which has a time lapse mode, also included was orbit with freelook and Airmap integration; thankfully Airmap is information only and doesn’t prevent take off.

The multipoint cablecam has already been received with a positive reception from Solo users, allowing for complex moves which are smoothly transitioned using Catmull Rom splines, the camera can be controlled by the Solo or used by free look using the left stick.
