Further Inspire Woes As Apple Apps Are Pulled
This week continues out of sorts with a story that continues to run which is that of the DJI Inspire. In the last few days it has transpired that DJI has used its own Enterprise certificate to distribe a number of its applications rather than a valid iTunes certificate. The applications that didn’t follow the correct Apple process related to the DJI Lightbridge and also the DJI Inspire.
In a move that smacks of denial DJI support staff have publicly criticised Apple for the situation despite the fact that DJI knows the correct process and has its Vision and Ronin applications approved.
A developer that highlighted the fact that DJI had breached the Apple protocol has resulted in him being flamed and refered to as a knob and further insults.
Nonetheless, DJI has temporarily removed the offending applications and is seeking to submit them via the correct process it should have used to begin with.
On a positive note, there is a workaround allowing users to run the DJI applications: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=30506973&postcount=10292
